Dr. Megan Hillard
DVM
Dr. Megan Hillard is a 2010 graduate from LSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally a hometown girl from here in Fort Smith, Arkansas, she completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas in 2006. She spent 2011 in Orlando, FL for intense training at a specialty hospital. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, surgery, and neurology. She joined the Labahn team in 2013 and took over ownership of the clinic in 2015.
During her free time, she enjoys being a mom to three beautiful little boys, reading, going to movies, and hanging out with friends and family at Lake Ouichita. Dr. Hillard has one cat named Georgia and a miniature schnauzer named Salem.
Dr. Theresa Schluterman
DVM
Labahn Veterinary Hospital is proud to introduce our amazing associate veterinarian, Dr. Theresa Schluterman, DVM. Dr. Schluterman has practiced Veterinary Medicine in the local area for over 20 years and will continue to serve area clients and pets here at Labahn. She stays busy outside of work with her son, outdoor activities, and a large group of pets of her own.
Kayleigh Skaggs
Practice Manager
Kayleigh graduated from UAFS in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership. She joined the Labahn Team a few months later as our Practice Manager. She has worked in the veterinary field and/or customer service industry since she was 14yrs old and has always had a passion for helping animals. She shares her home with her husband, Justin, and their 3 kids along with their 3 rescue cats (Charlotte, Miss Mayfield, & Suzi) and their 4 dogs (Ranger, Lady, Luck(y), & Tembé). Outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband and gardening.
Lillian
Receptionist
Lillian joined Labahn as a veterinary receptionist in May 2020. She brings a patient, positive attitude as well as a great deal of customer service experience. Lillian is also bilingual and looks forward to assisting our clients in both English and Spanish. In her time away from work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her children. Make sure to say hello (or hola) when you see Lillian at the front desk!
Berenice Garcia
Receptionist
Working at a veterinary hospital is something Berenice has always been interested in not only to expand her own education and knowledge, but also to help the Hispanic community with veterinary care. During her free time, she spends it with family & friends either hiking or having small gatherings. Some of her favorite things to do is travel to Mexico to her small hometown La Caja Municpio de Irapuato, Guanajuato. There she has 3 cats(Gata, Manchas, and Capullo), 1 dog(Jesus Alejandro), 2 goats (Silvia and Marcos) and 1 horse (Mona).
Shynia Reeves
Receptionist/Assistant
Shynia joined as a Receptionist in May of 2022 with customer service experience in banking and retail. She always wanted to be in the veterinary field and quickly moved up to Veterinary Assistant so, you may see her at the front desk or in the exam room! When she is outside of work, Shynia enjoys spending time with her husband, Cory, and three dogs Quincee, Kyah, and Ember. She also likes to go to rodeos to watch her sisters barrel race, and has her own horse, Jinx.
Alyssa Moore
Assistant
Alyssa joined us in June 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant and has always been interested in veterinary science. She knew when she was younger and in the rodeo scene that she would work in this field one day! She is a former Army National Guardsman, and when not in the clinic, she’s at home curled up with a good book or movie and her two fur babies, Tilly and Huckleberry, or spending time with her husband! She enjoys hiking, camping, baking, and fishing in her spare time!
Shea Lockridge
Veterinary Assistant
Shea has wanted to be in vet med her entire life, from being in the rodeo community to owning livestock, there was never another career path or a backup plan for her. She grew up wanting to be a specialist vet but after being a veterinary assistant for 4 years, she found her calling as a Veterinary Technician. She is excited to continue her education and finish vet tech school in the near future. When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys time with her family and her three fur babies— Bella, Hope, and Thomas.
Haleigh Sample
Surgical Technician
Haleigh joined/rejoined Labahn in October of 2022. She has had a great passion for working with animals since she was a child. She obtained her Veterinary Assistant certification in 2019 and has been doing it since. She enjoys learning new things/skills in the field daily. Outside of the hospital, she is a busy dog mom of one, Waylon, and Punkin-her girl in heaven. She has a great passion for the outdoors exploring and making memories in the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee and watching the Volunteers every chance she gets.
